Subject: Having hebfonts use a replacement for
              /usr/share/texmf/fontname/special.map ?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Does a slight modifications of Boris Lavva and others heb{latex, fonts, exmpl} can be made so that the package can use some file other then /usr/share/texmf/fontname/special.map (say, /usr/share/texmf/fontname/hebrew.ma p)? Motivation: The instructions for installing the hebfonts requires one to append some lines to /usr/share/texmf/fontname/special.map. However this later file is installed by another package (a Latex package of some sort). Now when this other package gets upgraded it will most probably rewrite /usr/share/texmf/fontname/special.map, thus erasing the lines appended by the hebfonts package. -- Shaul Karl <[log in to unmask]>
