The ILAN backbone has shutdown its inter-University IPX services on May
14th. Ever since, the ILAN networking group didn't receive complaints
regarding this termination of service and it seems that this functionality
was not required by any of our users. Therefore, it was decided to
formally declare that IPX will no longer be carried on the ILAN backbone.
This notice does NOT refer to INTERNAL campus IPX traffic. It does refer
to IPX traffic BETWEEN Univesities. Users of IPX which use only internal
Novell servers should NOT see any impact.
